Support Ukraine - How You Can Help

The Lord is opening opportunities to support Ukraine and we want to make sure you’re aware of how you can help.

The Calvary Global Network is hosting a time of Worldwide Prayer, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 9:30 AM. Pacific Daylight Time.

CGN Worldwide Prayer for Ukraine and Russia

If you are wondering what more you can do - please read the following message from Christina Vickers:

Hello Church Family,

As many of you know I recently lived and worked in Poland for 2 years.  While there, God open doors of friendships, which sustained me then and continue today. As we have watched the evil acts being carried out against Ukraine, and praying for God’s intervention, I have also been communicating with my friends and contacts in Poland. I was so moved by all that my little Christian Church and friends in Poland are doing to help facilitate the transportation, feeding and housing of millions of Ukrainians as they fled their homeland into Poland. I asked myself “how can I help?”  Then it hit me; I am going to Poland at the end of April; I can bring supplies; I can donate my time. I must reach out and see what else I can do.

I was able to speak to Pastor Scott from City Church Warsaw. The greatest need is for cash for food, clothing, toiletries, gas, and transportation.  They also asked for woman and children’s undergarments, socks, (all sizes) dry foods that can be made quickly and is hot, such as oatmeal, pasta, rice, and chocolates for the kids.

I was also able to speak with Pastor Caleb from Calvary Chapel in Fullerton, who recently came back from Ukraine and Hungary and learned about all the amazing things Calvary Chapel is doing to get food, clothes, medical supplies and cars (yes cars!) to those in need in Ukraine!  As I was in the process of connecting Pastor Scott and Pastor Caleb, Pastor Caleb sent me a text about someone asking for a Church connection in Warsaw!  How good is our God?

I have never been so proud to be part of Calvary Chapel after hearing about the transportation and infrastructure they, working with other churches and organizations, have put in place. The Body of Christ is working mightily amidst this atrocity!

So, Church Family, with a humble heart to serve, I am asking for your assistance.

Here are four ways you can help:

1.      Donate cash or items from the list above for me to take to Poland to serve alongside City Church Warsaw. I leave on 26 April.  My contact information is below. I will have a box for items at church on Sunday. You can check out City Church Warsaw on Facebook and see what they’re doing.

2.      Donate cash directly to City Church Warsaw-. This link is specifically for helping refugees from the war in Ukraine, and is tax deductible.

There will be no 10% administrative fee, but credit & debit card gifts will incur a 3% fee. That fee can be avoided by using the online ACH bank account option or by sending a check to:

Christian Associates International d/b/a Communitas
PO Box 60543
Industry, CA 91716-0543

Check donations should include a note designating the gift to project number 72502

3.      Donate to Calvary Chapel using the link Pastor Ed sent out last week:

If you would like to make a donation to the CC Relief effort, you can make a donation through our giving tool. The contribution will be credited to your giving account and the monies forward to the relief effort.  https://chapelchelmsford.com/giving

4.      Continue to pray!

With your help, we can be ordinary people, banded together through the Body of Christ, serving as the hands and feet of God, here on Earth, doing for the least of these, as we would do for Christ himself.

In His Grace,

Christina
