Pastor Chris Bove

Assistant Pastor

Christopher grew up in a believing home and accepted Christ as his Savior early in grade school. When he was in high school, his family started attending Calvary Chapel Chester Springs in the greater Philadelphia area. This led Chris on a closer walk with the Lord and an interest in Biblical studies as he heard the Word expounded verse by verse each week. He considered attending seminary after high school to become a pastor, but God led Him to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) for BS and MS degrees in Robotics Engineering. At WPI, he joined a student-led Christian fellowship where he met Cara and started leading Bible studies. After graduating in 2018, Chris began working at iRobot and attending Calvary Chapel Chelmsford regularly in 2019. Chris and Cara were married in 2021 and had their first son, Isaac, in 2024.

At Calvary Chapel Chelmsford, Chris has helped with teaching in children's ministry, youth group, home groups, and men's breakfast. He gave his first sermon in 2021, and currently serves on the teaching team. Chris began attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 in pursuit of an online Master of Arts in Christian Studies degree. Cara and Chris enjoy light hiking, traveling, and kayaking together, and Chris has a little bit of time for hobbies like astronomy and working on an old VW bus.
